About The Battle of Trafalgar
This is a really lovely local pub with a 'cute hidden beer garden at the rear.Situated on Guildford Street and very close to Brighton railway station. The interior is traditional, with lots of wood, dark green painted walls and cigar-brown ceilings. As well as lots of naval pictures there are lots of posters for live bands all over Brighton.
They serve up to 4 real ales, well kept and well served. One ale we ordered was from a new barrel, and still a little bit cloudy and very 'bright'. The very helpful barmaid offered to pull another pint if it wasn't up to scratch. This is so much better than your average run of the mill experience it gets 5 stars for that alone.
They serve food at lunchtimes and evenings, and Saturday and Sunday lunchtime and early afternoon. I've not eaten there yet, but I will at some point. The clientele seem to come from a very wide mix of Brighton types, from students to middle-aged, straight, gay, etc.
